A truly beautiful Bessarabian handwoven wool carpet, measuring 295 × 175 cm, featuring an exceptionally rich and harmonious floral composition.
The rug has a deep brown and black ground, providing a dramatic backdrop for the elaborate central floral medallion. The design is exceptionally decorative yet remarkably balanced, with an abundance of flowers, leaves, scrolling vines and ornamental details arranged in a highly harmonious composition.
The central motif is particularly striking, surrounded by floral elements in shades of brick red, turquoise, deep green, pink, orange and burgundy, with touches of cream and purple adding further depth and character. The combination of turquoise and brick red against the dark ground is especially beautiful and gives the carpet a warm, sophisticated and distinctive appearance.

The rug is full of flowers : daffodils, tulips, roses, ears of wheat. The more you look the more you see.The carriage was easy , after all it came a long way. The owner was very helpful and kept me informed.
This rug is very special. Probably 60s it’s wool and made in narrow strips. It’s faded over the years ..but still bright. Anyone who loves colour should consider looking towards Eastern Europe, where you can find something different.
