A striking very old Romanian long kilim, measuring approximately 345 × 147 cm, featuring a vibrant and highly decorative geometric composition. The central field is arranged in colourful geometric panels, each containing distinctive traditional motifs in vivid shades of red, green, blue, yellow, pink, white, and black.
The design is framed by richly patterned red borders with repeating diamond and floral-inspired geometric motifs, separated from the central field by delicate white decorative bands. The bold colours, symmetrical arrangement, handmade irregularities, and traditional motifs give the piece a strong authentic folk-art character.

The rug is full of flowers : daffodils, tulips, roses, ears of wheat. The more you look the more you see.The carriage was easy , after all it came a long way. The owner was very helpful and kept me informed.
This rug is very special. Probably 60s it’s wool and made in narrow strips. It’s faded over the years ..but still bright. Anyone who loves colour should consider looking towards Eastern Europe, where you can find something different.
