It is from Maramures, from joyful Sapanta village, one of the most pitoresque areas and where the traditional arts are still alive, people are dressed in traditional cloths on Sundays or on weddings, the architecture and the natural sceneries are absolutely amazing.

The rug is full of flowers : daffodils, tulips, roses, ears of wheat. The more you look the more you see.The carriage was easy , after all it came a long way. The owner was very helpful and kept me informed.
This rug is very special. Probably 60s it’s wool and made in narrow strips. It’s faded over the years ..but still bright. Anyone who loves colour should consider looking towards Eastern Europe, where you can find something different.
