Un remarquable kilim roumain très ancien, mesurant environ 345 × 147 cm, présentant une composition géométrique vibrante et hautement décorative. Le champ central est organisé en panneaux géométriques colorés, contenant chacun des motifs traditionnels distinctifs dans des tons vifs de rouge, vert, bleu, jaune, rose, blanc et noir.
Le design est encadré par des bordures rouges richement ornées de motifs géométriques répétitifs en forme de losanges et d'inspirations florales, séparées du champ central par de délicates bandes décoratives blanches. Les couleurs audacieuses, la disposition symétrique, les irrégularités faites main et les motifs traditionnels confèrent à cette pièce un caractère d'art populaire authentique et marqué.
Un textile ancien qui attire le regard avec une merveilleuse présence décorative, idéal comme tenture murale, chemin de table ou pièce maîtresse dans un intérieur traditionnel, rustique, éclectique ou contemporain.

The rug is full of flowers : daffodils, tulips, roses, ears of wheat. The more you look the more you see.The carriage was easy , after all it came a long way. The owner was very helpful and kept me informed.
This rug is very special. Probably 60s it’s wool and made in narrow strips. It’s faded over the years ..but still bright. Anyone who loves colour should consider looking towards Eastern Europe, where you can find something different.
