Alfombra rumana auténtica muy antigua, de principios del siglo pasado, hecha a mano en lana. Elegante fondo rojo con hermosas flores, muy delicada. Es un hallazgo muy raro, muy antigua pero en buen estado. Este tipo de tela se llama cerga en el sur de Rumania y se usaba para muchos propósitos, práctico cuando era de color rojo liso y también decorativo, cuando se decoraba con flores y se usaba como cubrecama, tapiz de pared o, más recientemente, como alfombra. Fue muy popular entre 1900 y 1945, después de lo cual se fabricó y usó con menos frecuencia a medida que se hacían modelos más elaborados. Esta se encuentra en perfecto estado, lo cual es muy raro, considerando la época en que se fabricó.

The rug is full of flowers : daffodils, tulips, roses, ears of wheat. The more you look the more you see.The carriage was easy , after all it came a long way. The owner was very helpful and kept me informed.
This rug is very special. Probably 60s it’s wool and made in narrow strips. It’s faded over the years ..but still bright. Anyone who loves colour should consider looking towards Eastern Europe, where you can find something different.
